How do I get cover for my eyewear?

You can purchase eyewear insurance at any of our stores.

What is the premium cost?

$34.95 for 12 months cover (which includes GST and stamp duty)

Can I cover my eyewear under my household insurance?

Eyewear Insurance is a dedicated insurance policy especially for eyewear ensuring rapid replacement or repair of your eyewear once your claim has been accepted. Not all household insurers would cover your eyewear. Household policies have a higher excess and a claim for your eyewear could affect your no claims bonus.

What types of policies and payment options are available?

Only One policy type is available.

Can I renew my eyewear insurance policy at the expiry of the 12 month policy period?

Yes, subject to the underwriting criteria applicable at that time.

Are there any claims limits?

Yes, the insurer's maximum limit of liability for any one claim shall be up to the original purchase price of your eyewear inclusive of GST and less the excess payable.

How soon can I make a valid claim?

Provided that you are eligible for this insurance and your policy has been paid in full, you can make a claim anytime after purchasing the insurance.

Is there a Co-Payment?

Yes, a Co-Payment of $30.00 applies to each and every claim.

Can I cancel and get a full refund?

Providing you inform us with fourteen (14) days of inception of your policy and have not made a claim we will refund your payment in full.

Who is the Insurer?

The insurer of this policy is Virginia Surety.

How do I make a claim?

Should you wish to make a claim online at www.nua.com.au or simply call 1300 133 234 during normal business hours and our claims technicians will assist you.

What do I do if I have a Complaint?

Any enquiry or complaint relating to this insurance or services should in the first instance be referred to National Underwriting Agencies Pty Ltd (NUA) on 1300 133 234. NUA's Complaints Manager who will handle your complaints or disputes about the insurance or services. Should the NUA Complaints Manager be unable to satisfactorily resolve your complaint or dispute they will advise you of the various external bodies available to assist you.
